A barracuda may attack someone in the ocean, especially if certain risk factors are present.
Barracuda:
(1) inhabit tropical waters around the world.
(2) can grow up to 10 feet in length.
(3) can move rapidly when attacking.
(4) give a bite that is straight or V-shaped (not curved as with a shark)
Risk factors for being attacked by a barracuda:
(1) having on anything that is bright (jewelry, shiny equipment, intensely colored)
(2) swimming on the surface
(3) splashing
(4) having a limb dangling into the water
(5) swimming with a speared fish
(6) approaching or harassing one
