Risk factors for an accident related to the conditions:
(1) excessive speed
(2) slippery surface
(3) poor visibility
(4) proximity of hazard ahead
(5) conditions making it impossible to swerve or to take evasive action (traffic, structures, etc)
(6) mechanical problem in the vehicle affecting braking or steering
(7) lack of hazard signage

(1) intoxication or drug effect
(2) distraction
(3) poor vision
(4) poor reactions
(5) illness
