A total release fogger (TRF) releases a mixture of pesticides into a closed structure. A toxic exposure can occur if something goes wrong.
Exposure problem:
(1) failure to vacate
(2) evacuation after the discharge has started
(3) early re-entry, including emergency response
(4) failure to adequately aerate after use
Accident:
(1) explosion
(2) release into the face
(3) accidental discharge
Misuse of the fogger:
(1) use as a spot spray
(2) excessive treatment of the structure (residual agent, insufficient aeration, etc)
