Description

Several conditions have features of the restless legs syndrome without the restless legs.


General features of a restless syndrome:

(1) abnormal sensations or discomfort in a bodily region that worsen at night or with inactivity

(2) insomnia

(3) either idiopathic or associated with an underlying condition (iron deficiency, chronic kidney disease, drugs, Parkinson's disease, etc)

(4) improvement with physical or mental activity

(5) exclusion of an alternative explanation
