Chan and Chan reviewed different approaches to repair of a femoral hernia. The authors are from Shouldice Hospital in Thornhill, Ontario, which is a referral hospital for abdominal wall hernias.
The first stage in all repairs was a complete inguinal dissection to examine the direct, indirect, interstitial and femoral spaces for hernias.
