Description

Wagner et al developed a quality of life questionnaire called QOL-MED for men with erectile dysfunction . This can help determine the impact of the dysfunction on the patient's life and to determine the impact of therapeutic interventions. The authors are from the University of Washington in Seattle and Galen Research in Manchester, England.


 

The instrument consists of 18 statements.

The total score is adjusted to the range of 0 to 100, with 100 ideal. The adjustment can be done in several ways. The simplest method is to assign the points as follows (where 1.85185 is 100/54):

Interpretation:

• minimum adjusted total score: 0

• maximum adjusted total score: 100

• The higher the score, the better the quality of life.
