Pediatric enuresis negatively affects the quality of life for both child and mother.
Quality of life issues for the pediatric patient:
(1) emotional and/or physical abuse
(2) interrupted sleep
(3) poor sleep quality associated with disordered sleep
(4) shame, stigma and poor self-esteem
(5) unable to sleep over with friends
Quality of life issues for mothers:
(1) interrupted sleep
(2) need to clean up the mess
(3) frustration
