The qPET is a quantitative measure comparable to the Deauville scale for an FDG-PET scan. A high Deauville score is considered abnormal and can be used to trigger additional therapy.
Patient selection: malignant lymphoma following therapy
Analysis: FDG-PET scan
Parameters:
(1) SUVpeak of the hottest residual in a standardized volume
(2) SUVmean of the liver in a standardized volume (cuboid VOI of 30 mL)
qPET =
= (SUVpeak of hottest residual) / (SUV mean of the liver)
Interpretation:
• A qPET < 1.3 excludes abnormal response.
