Description

Perry et al reported the Psychosis Metabolic Risk Calculator (PsyMetRiC) to predict cardiometabolic risk in a young person with psychosis. The authors are from multiple institutions in England and the Czech Republic.

Patient selection: mostly adolescents and young adults

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) race or ethnicity

(3) sex

(4) body mass index (BMI) in kg per square meter

(5) smoking status

(6) prescription of metabolically active antipsychotic agent

(7) serum HDL in mmol/L

(8) serum triglycerides in mmol/L
