Clinical Features of Pseudotumor Cerebri (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension)

Gender of the patient

Age of the patient

• a diffuse headache?

• a headache that is worse at night or in the morning?

• papilledema in one or both eyes?

• a visual field loss?

• a palsy of the 6th cranial nerve?

Are neuroimaging studies normal, with no evidence of hydrocephalus or mass lesions?

• a normal CSF analysis (low or normal protein, normal glucose, normal cellularity)?

• an elevated opening pressure?
