Description

Parikh et al evaluated patients who developed acute kidney injury (AKI) following acute myocardial infarction (AMI). They correlated the severity of the acute kidney injury with long-term mortality. The authors are from Yale University, the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven, and the University of Colorado.


 

Patient selection: nontransferred patient >= 65 years of age without renal failure and without terminal illness
