Description

Tsimberidou et al developed a simple prognostic score for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). This can help identify patients who may benefit from a more aggressive or novel therapy. The authors are from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Parameters:

(1) age of the patient in years

(2) cytogenetic findings

(3) serum albumin

(4) serum beta-2 microglobulin
