Delgado et al developed a simple prognostic model for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) using 2 biomarkers which influence prognosis. This can help to identify patients who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from the University of Barcelona, University Hospital Brno, Masaryk University and Azienda Ospedaliera di Cosenza.
Patient selection: CLL
Outcome: overall survival
Parameters:
(1) IGHV mutational status
(2) FISH cytogenetics for del(17p) and del(11q)
