Description

Mauro et al identified prognostic factors for patients with the onset of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) at an age <= 55 years. These can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive or novel management. The authors are from University "La Sapienza" of Rome and University of Turin.


 

Patient selection: CLL with onset <= 55 years of age

 

Parameters:

(1) presence or absence of active disease within 12 months from diagnosis (see 28.02.07)

(2) lymphocyte doubling time (LDT) in months (Montserrat et al)
