Pescarmona et al identified tumor stage and histologic types as prognostic factors for patients with thymoma.
Patients: 83 patients with thymoma seen at the University of Rome between 1965 and 1989.
Parameters found to correlate with prognosis:
(1) histologic type
(2) staging using the method of Masaoka et al.
