Priority Levels for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Transport

In Sweden there is a priority level for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transport.

Parameters:

(1) severity of patient's illness

(2) acuity

(3) need for medically trained personnel during transport

transport only	non-urgent	no	4

A priority level 1 transport is usually performed with flashing lights and siren.

A priority level 4 transport does not require flashing lights or siren.
