Predictors with a hazard ratio greater than 2.0:
(1) male sex (HR 3.2)
(2) history of previous domestic violence (HR 2.6)
(3) history of previous nondomestic violence (HR 2.5)
(4) history of previous imprisonment (HR 2.2)
Predictor with a hazard ratio from 1.1 to 1.4):
(1) younger age (HR 1.25; mean age in samples around 39 years)
(2) lower education (HR 1.19)
(3) single/unmarried (HR 1.20)
(4) unemployed (HR 1.33)
(5) alcohol use disorder (HR 1.36)
(6) any mental disorder (HR 1.20)
(7) parental violent conviction (HR 1.16)
(8) previous nonviolent offending (HR 1.38)
(9) previous survivor of violence (HR 1.10)
The risk increases with the number of predictors presents.
