Are the plants in a place where they are accessible to children?

Has the person been handling the plant leaves without gloves for a prolonged period?

Does the patient have an allergy related to the plant, including latex allergy?

Has the person ingested a massive amount of the plant, as in a suicide attempt?

• skin irritation or contact dermatitis?

• irritation of the oral mucosa?

• keratoconjunctivitis?
