Chordee is a congenital disorder of the penis that is associated with curvature of the penis.
Clinical features:
(1) congenital feature resulting from abnormal penile development
(2) affects the junction of the glans and shaft at the distal penis
(3) results from fibrosis around the urethrawith contracture and/or from skin tethering
(4) penis curves downward or sometimes upward, more noticeable when erect
Associated findings may include:
(1) hypospadias
(2) problems with sexual intercourse and/or control of urination
Differential diagnosis:
(1) Peyronie's disease (an acquired disorder)
(2) acquired curvature following surgery
