Bee stings can occur anywhere on exposed skin, including the penis.
Person at risk:
(1) infant or young child with minimum clothing
(2) nudist
(3) someone showering, voiding or defecating outside
Risk factors for complications:
(1) Africanized honeybee attack
Complications:
(1) local swelling and pain
(2) dysuria
(3) difficulty/inability to void
(4) progressive penile erythema
(5) secondary infection
(6) allergic reaction (anaphylaxis, other)
(7) in heavy envenomation, systemic toxicity
