Description

A lesion in the central nervous system that affects the visual pathway can result in a predictable pattern of visual loss.

Visual fields – 4 quadrants in each eye:

(1) superior temporal (lateral)

(2) superior nasal (medial)

(3) inferior nasal (medial)

(4) inferior temporal (lateral)

Vision in each quadrant:

(1) normal

(2) partial (incomplete) loss

(3) complete loss
