Tumors composed of cells with features of endometrial stromal cells may be benign or malignant.
Typical endometrial stroma:
(1) cells: blunt, spindled to oblong, with scanty cytoplasm
(2) nuclei: small and uniform
(3) environment: abundant reticulin framework
