A patient with cancer may develop a paraneoplastic syndrome that resembles Adult Still's disease.
Features of paraneoplastic Adult Still's disease:
(1) a clinical and laboratory picture that meets the criteria of Adult Still's disease
(2) presence of an underlying malignancy
(3) exclusion of infection or other condition that can mimic Adult Still's disease
(4) improvement in the Adult Still's disease after treatment of the malignancy
Cancers that have been associated with Adult Still's disease:
(1) breast cancer
(2) lung cancer
(3) rectal cancer
(4) ovarian cancer
(5) squamous cell carcinoma
