Description

A panniculus (pannus) is a fat and skin apron that hangs down from the abdomen. It may be prominent following massive weight loss. Igwe et al reported a grading system based on clinical extent. The authors are from Tri-City Regional Medical Center, Bellwood General Hospital, Cedar Sinai Medical Center and the Center for Surgical Treatment of Obesity in Los Angeles.
