Schmermund et al developed a score based on clinical and laboratory data to predict the risk of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. The used this for correlating the coronary calcium scores for electron beam CT with disease severity on coronary angiography. The authors are from the University Clinic of Essen, the Mayo Clinic and the University Witten/Herdecke.
