Each worksite should have one or more first aid kits readily available to workers.
The kit should be:
(1) accessible
(2) temperature and weatherproof
(3) inspected prior to being sent to a job site
(4) inspected at least weekly with replacement of used items

Categories of first aid kits by contents:
(1) Class A: most common types of workplace injuries
(2) Class B: broader range and quantity of supplies
Classification of kit containers:
(1) Type I: indoor use, nonportable, with minimal risk of damage
(2) Type II: indoor use, portable, with minimal risk of damage
(3) Type III: general indoor use and sheltered outdoor use, portable, with low risk of damage
(4) Type IV: potential for damage and rough handling significant (ruggedized)
