Oral complications may include:
(1) plasma cell mucositis
(2) leukoplakia
(3) oral cancer
(4) damage to teeth including periodontitis and discoloration
(5) gingival recession
Risk factors for malignancy:
(1) concurrent tobacco use
(2) habitual heavy use
(3) leukoplakia
