Description

Rose et al developed nomograms for evaluating women with locally advanced cervical cancer. One nomogram predicts the 5-year overall survival. The authors are from multiple hospitals in the United States and Canada.

Patient selection: woman with locally advanced cervical cancer, age 20 to 85 years, ECOG performance status 0 to 3, tumor size 0.5 to 35 cm in diameter

Parameters:

(1) histology

(2) method of establishing that paraortic lymph nodes are negative

(3) race/ethnicity

(4) tumor size in cm

(5) performance status

(6) FIGO stage

(7) grade

(8) pelvic lymph nodes

(9) treatment

Interpretation:

• minimum score: 0

• maximum score: 416

• The higher the score the worse the 5-year overall survival.
