Description

Duan et al reported two nomograms for patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus treated with esophagectomy and adjuvant chemotherapy. One nomogram predicts overall survival (OS). The authors are from Tianjin University Cancer Institute and Hospital and Tianjin Key Laboratory of Cancer Prevention and Therapy in China.

Patient selection: squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus status post esophagectomy

Parameters:

(1) gender

(2) tumor length in cm, from 0 to 14 cm

(3) T status

(4) N status

(5) number of chemotherapy cycles

points for tumor length =

= 6.25 * (length in cm)
