Description

Cao et al reported nomograms to predict survival of a patient with a gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC). The authors are from Fujian Medical University in China.

Patient selection: gastric neuroendocrine neoplasm

Parameters:

(1) lymph node ratio (LNR, lymph nodes with metastases to total lymph nodes)

(2) Ki-67 index

(3) tumor-associated neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (TA NLR) using immunostains to identify neutrophils and lymphocytes within sections of the tumor
