Description

Yang et al reported a nomogram for predicting placenta accreta in a woman with a scarred uterus. The authors are from Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University, Key Laboratory of Maternal-Fetal Medicine of Liaoning Province and Key Laboratory of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Higher Education of Liaoning Province in China.


Patient selection: pregnant woman with a history of previous uterine surgery

 

Parameters:

(1) placenta previa

(2) number of previous cesarean sections (CS)

(3) number of episodes of vaginal bleeding (presumably during the current pregnancy)

(4) medications taken during the pregnancy (antihypertensive, hypoglycemic, hormones, NSAIDs, etc)
