Description

Filipovich et al developed criteria for the severity of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) for the National Institutes of Health. One of the criteria involved skin involvement.


 

Patterns to identify:

(1) maculopapular rash

(2) lichen planus-like

(3) papulosquamous or ichthyosis

(4) hyperpigmentation

(5) hypopigmentation

(6) keratosis pilaris

(7) erythema

(8) erythroderma

(9) poikiloderma

(10) hair involvement

(11) nail involvement

(12) sclerotic features (below)

(13) pruritis (below)

(14) ulceration (below)

 

Parameters:

(1) percent of body surface area (BSA) involved

(2) severity of sclerotic features

(3) severity of pruritis

(4) ulceration
