The staging system for myeloma of the Third British Medical Research Council uses hemoglobin, BUN and performance status to separate patients into good, intermediate and poor prognostic groups.

• conversion of BUN from mg/dL to mmol/L is 0.357; from mmol/L to mg/dL is 2.80112
