Description

Grissom et al reported a modified Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (MSOFA) score for use in a resource-constrained setting. The authors are from Intermountain Medical Center and the University of Utah at Salt Lake City.

Parameters:

(1) SpO2 to FIO2 ratio (as measure of respiratory function)

(2) jaundice or scleral icterus (as measure of liver function)

(3) hypotension (as measure of cardiovascular function)

(4) Glasgow coma score (as measure of neurologic status)

(5) serum creatinine in mg/dL (as measure of renal function)
