Description

Kawamura et al reported a modified Kyoto Classification Risk Score for evaluating a patient for gastric intestinal metaplasia and cancer. The authors are from multiple institutions in Japan.


Evaluation: gastric endoscopy

(1) atrophy using the Kimura-Takemoto classification

(2) intestinal metaplasia involving corpus on image-enhanced endoscopy > 30%

(3)  regular arrangement of collecting venules (RAC) in the angulus

(4)map-like redness in corpus
