Description

Zhou et al reported a modification of the Ocular Trauma Scale (OTS) for evaluation of open globe injuries. The authors are from the University of Florida in Gainesville.


Patient selection: open globe injury

 

Differences from the OTS - much is the same except for:

(1) addition of parameter for orbital fracture

(2) differences in table predicting outcomes for each category

(1d) retinal detachment

(1e) perforating injury

(2) initial best corrected visual acuity (BCVA)
