Description

Satwani et al reported a model for evaluating a young patient with Hodgkin's disease undergoing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplant (autoHCT). This can help to identify a patient who may require more aggressive management. The authors are from multiple institutions from around the world.

Patient selection: pediatric patient or young adult with relapsed or refractory Hodgkin's disease

Outcome: progression-free survival (PFS)

Parameters:

(1) Karnofsky performance status

(2) time from diagnosis to first relapse (TDFR) in years

(3) extranodal involvement at the time of autoHCT

(4) disease chemoresistant at time of autoHCT
