Most cases of myocarditis are infectious, immune or toxic. Less often other conditions can cause myocarditis.
Miscellaneous causes of myocarditis:
(1) radiation
(2) electricity or lightning
(3) beri-beri (nutritional)
Items not listed but which could elicit an inflammatory response:
(1) chest trauma
(2 hyperthermia or hypothermia
