Mei et al reported data on the mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) relative to height for female children. This can aid in the evaluation of malnutrition. The authors are from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.


Patient selection: female children from 65 to 145 cm in height/length.

 

A low MUAC to height value indicates wasting.
