Mid-Arm Fat Area

Description

The area of a cross-section of the upper arm at its midpoint occupied by fat is approximated by subtracting the area occupied by muscle from the total cross-sectional area.

Parameters:

(1) mid arm circumference in cm

(2) triceps skin fold (TSF) in mm

(3) gender of the patient

(4) age of the patient in years
