Method for Measurement of Upper Arm Circumference at its Midpoint:
The mid-arm circumference is measured in centimeters midway between the olecranon process and the acromium of the nondominant limb hanging relaxed.
Method for Triceps Skinfold Measurement:
The triceps skinfold is measured in millimeters with calipers at the same level as the mid-arm circumference, on the posterior of the arm, over the long head of the triceps brachii. The long axis of the skinfold is parallel to the long axis of the humerus. Measurements are taken in triplicate, then averaged.
