Patient selection: microscopic colitis

(3) abdominal pain over the past week as a VAS score from 1 to 10
(4) average weight loss over the past month in pounds
(5) fecal urgency over the past week
(6) number of episodes of fecal incontinence over the past month

• minimum score: 1.32
• maximum score: around 10
• A 1 unit decrease in disease activity is associated with a 9 point improvement in the quality of life on the IBD questionnaire.
