Method of Filler and Mai for Abbreviated Monitoring of Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) in a Pediatric Renal Transplant Recipient Receiving Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF)

 

Patient selection: pediatric patient with a renal transplant being treated with MMF

 

Parameters:

(1) plasma concentration of MPA at 1 hour in µg/mL

(2) plasma concentration of MPA at 2 hours after dosing in µg/mL

(3) plasma concentration of MPA at 6 hours after dosing in µg/mL

 

area under the curve for the serum concentration of MPA for 0 to 12 hours after dosing in µg * h / mL =

= (0.98 * (concentration at 1 hour)) + (2.38 * (concentration at 2 hours)) + (4.86 * (concentration at 6 hours)) + 10.75
