Certain warning signs may indicate the presence of an electrical problem.
Warning signs of an electrical problem:
(1) Electrical outlet, switch or cord that is warm to the touch.
(2) Electrical outlet or switch that makes noises (buzzing, crackling, sizzling, etc)
(3) A light flickers or dims on its own.
(4) A fuse that frequently blows or a circuit breaker that frequently trips.
(5) A slight shock or tingling feeling when touching an electrical device or appliance.
If any of the warning signs are observed then:
(1) Power down all relevant electrical devices (if possible) else attempt to reduce the load.
(2) Call a licensed electrician to perform an electrical inspection
