Description

The medial frontal syndrome is one of the behavioral patterns that may occur following injury to the frontal lobe. Its main feature is that the person becomes akinetic.


 

Clinical features:

(1) paucity of spontaneous movement

(2) paucity of spontaneous gesture

(3) paucity of verbal output

(4) weakness in the lower extremities

(5) loss of sensation in the lower extremities

(6) urinary incontinence
