Description

The Manchester criteria can help in the diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2).


Criteria - one or more of the following:

(1) bilateral vestibular schwannomas

(2) both of the following

(2a) first-degree family relative with neurofibromatosis 2

(2b) unilateral vestibular schwannoma

(3) both of the following

(3a) first-degree family relative with neurofibromatosis 2

(3b) any 2 of: meningioma, schwannoma, glioma, neurofibroma, posterior subcapsular lenticular opacities

(4) both of the following:

(4a) unilateral vestibular schwannoma

(4b) any 2 of: meningioma, schwannoma, glioma, neurofibroma, posterior subcapsular lenticular opacities

(5) both of the following:

(5a) >= 2 meningiomas

(5b) unilateral vestibular schwannoma

(6) both of the following:

(6a) >= 2 meningiomas

(6b) any 2 of: schwannoma, glioma, neurofibroma, cataract
