Bagul and Siriwardena reported the Manchester criteria for staging chronic pancreatitis. The authors are from Manchester Royal Infirmary in Manchester, England.


Patient selection: chronic pancreatitis (CP)

(1) imaging evidence of chronic pancreatitis (endoscopic retrograde pancreatogram, MRI, CT)

(2) abdominal pain

(3) need for regular analgesia

(4) endocrine and exocrine function

(5) peri-pancreatic complications
