(1) (persistent or recurrent) (deficient or absent) (sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity)
(2) marked distress or interpersonal difficulty
Some conditions associated with HSDD include:
(1) low serum testosterone (hypogonadism)
(2) elevated serum prolactin
(3) drugs
(4) depression
If a possible condition is implicated, then reversal after reversing the condition supports the association.
