The Los Angeles Motor Scale (LAMS) provides a prehospital assessment of stroke severity. The authors are from the University of California Los Angeles.
The components were included in the Los Angeles Prehospital Stroke Screen (LAPSS).

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score 5
• The higher the score the more severe the stroke.
• A score >= 4 was associated with an ischemic stroke associated with a large arterial occlusion.
