Description

Lhermitte's phenomenon (or symptom) is a rare form of neck pain with several variations.


 

Typical hermitte phenomenon involves an electric-shock with severe pain:

(1) extending from the neck down into the limbs.

(2) following cervical flexion.

• Post-trauamtic Lhermitte phenomenon involves a spinal cord contusion secondary to neck trauma.
